Climate Change
Climate Change has a huge impact on the lives of individuals all across the world. In Indonesia these affects are endangering the fundamental requirements for health. Basic human rights are not being met including clean urban air, drinking water, nutritious food, protection from the elements, and basic shelters. These are serious issues that are impacting everyday life for Indonesians. (WHO, 2017)
Slow Progress in Policies
The creation and implementation of policies is incredibly slow. There are better regulations that would allow a more cohesive approach to social, environmental, and economic issues. This slow regulation of policies makes creating programs to help with environmental issues almost impossible. (WHO, 2017)

Lack of Basic Sanitation
Environmental qualities are being threatened by growing globalization, urbanization, unhealthy lifestyles, and work environment complexities with food safety and security, nutrition, and chemicals being used more often (WHO, 2017). With the fast past life we live the quality of the environment is being jeopardized.

As the number of non-communicable, communicable, and vector born diseases are increasing, global and local environments are changing. Due to the change in the environments adverse health implications are being observed. (WHO, 2017)

Indonesia is an Island located in the continent of Asia surrounded by the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. It is considered an archipelago which means it is an island chain or cluster.

Indonesians are being deprived of basic sanitation needs. "persisting with regard to equity in access to basic sanitation, safe water supplies, and improved housing or living conditions" (WHO, 2017".
